Edisto Island Restaurants by Area
Edisto Island stretches from the Dawho River bridge on Highway 174 all the way to the beach, so it helps to know which part of the island a restaurant is in.
Edisto Beach: Jungle Road, Palmetto Boulevard and Myrtle Street
Most of the island’s restaurants are in the town of Edisto Beach at the south end, a short walk or bike ride from the sand.
- SeaCow Eatery: Southern breakfast, lunch and seafood, with seats indoors, on the deck or on a screened porch
- Marsh Moon Cafe: coffee, breakfast and lunch, with a patio
- Tortuga’s Mexican Grill: breakfast burritos and tacos, ordered at the counter

Big Bay Creek: the Marina on Docksite Road
On the creek behind Edisto Beach, the marina is the place for sunset dinners and seafood straight off the boats. Check the Edisto Island tide chart if you’re arriving by water.

- Pressley’s at the Marina: seafood, steaks and Italian dishes, with a dining room upstairs and a dock bar below; no reservations

Wyndham Ocean Ridge

Along Highway 174 and the Island Interior
Between the bridge and the beach, Highway 174 runs past farm stands, seafood counters and a couple of local favorites. These are easy stops on the way in or on a day trip to Botany Bay.
- King’s Farm Market: bakery goods, prepared foods and local produce, all to go
- Flowers Seafood Company: a seafood market with fried and boiled seafood from its food truck and outdoor picnic tables
- Bluefin Cantina: street tacos and sushi rolls with a dining room and bar
- Bailey’s Wings & Things: wings and fried seafood, takeout only
- George & Pink’s: an old-fashioned farm stand on Eddingsville Beach Road for local produce and pies; cash or check only
Tips for Eating on Edisto Island
- Check hours before you go. Island hours change with the season, and several places close one or two days a week. Each listing has its current hours and phone number.
- Plan for summer crowds. Few spots take reservations, so go early or late for dinner in peak season. Pros & Cons recommends booking ahead.
- Cook your own catch. Pick up shrimp and fish at Edisto Seafood or Flowers Seafood Company, add produce from King’s Farm Market or George & Pink’s, and try our Frogmore stew or shrimp and grits recipes.
