George & Pink’s

George & Pink’s, at 7971 Eddingsville Beach Rd in the interior of Edisto Island, is a historic produce stand. To reach it, turn off Hwy 174 and follow a short dirt road.

What to Buy

Fruits and vegetables grown nearby, berries and eggs fill the stand. The homemade pies are a big draw, with pecan a favorite, and pantry goods such as pear butter round things out.

Inside the Stand

It is a small stand in the old style. Photos of well-known visitors hang near the register, and coffee is on the house. Stopping here is a taste of old Edisto, with produce about as fresh and local as you can find.
