Tortuga’s Mexican Grill

In the town of Edisto Beach, on the south end of Edisto Island, Tortuga’s Mexican Grill (114 Jungle Rd, Suite E) cooks Mexican breakfast and lunch from scratch. Much of what lands on your plate is made in-house.

What to Order

The kitchen makes its own chorizo, salsas, queso and guacamole. Mornings bring burritos filled with house chorizo, shrimp or veggies, plus breakfast tacos, quesadillas and the Americano platter. At lunch, tacos, burritos and quesadillas join the lineup. Save time to sample Tortuga’s own sauces at the hot sauce bar.

Inside Tortuga’s

The setup is relaxed and largely self-serve: order at the counter, find a seat, and staff carry the food out. With so much made on site, it is a change of pace from a typical beach-town breakfast.
