Edisto Island Golf

Edisto Island Golf is unknown by many. With Kiawah and Seabrook to the north and of course Hilton Head to the south, The Plantation Course at Edisto prides itself on remaining unique by resisting change to this small community. Unlike its neighbors, Edisto Island is absent of noise, traffic lights, congestion, and commercialism. That is what appeals to residents and visitors alike though the golf is as action packed as anyone could ask for.

The Plantation Course at Edisto is the sole golf course on the island and enjoys an interesting history dating back to its origin in 1973. Originally known as Oristo and later as The Edisto Island Golf Club, the course takes pride in its new name… ‘The Plantation Course at Edisto’. After completing a total renovation of the course in 2006 and planned improvements involving a new Pro Shop, we can insure that your golfing experience will be enjoyable and memorable.

Nestled in giant live oaks, magnolia, and towering palms, any golf enthusiasts will find a very challenging, but player friendly layout. Measuring 6200 yards, distance is not as important as accuracy and one must not disregard the many water hazards. Regardless of your skill level, you are certain to enjoy the beauty of the course and surrounding areas. You will almost always see pelicans, ospreys, herons, and egrets along the course. And keep your eyes open for alligators basking in the sun along the edges of the lagoons.
