Edisto Beach Road Race (Gobble Wobble 5K)

The Edisto Beach Road Race, nicknamed the Gobble Wobble, is a 5K and 1-mile run/walk held the Saturday before Thanksgiving week at Wyndham Ocean Ridge on Edisto Island. The 15th annual race is Saturday, November 21, 2026, with the 5K starting at 8:30 a.m.

Two Distances, One Easy Morning

The 5K goes off first at 8:30, and the 1-mile run/walk follows at 9:30, so a family can split up: faster runners take the 5K while younger kids or grandparents do the mile. The Chamber’s listing frames the event window as 8 to 11 a.m., which leaves you free well before lunch.

The Fun Parts

Where the Race Sits on the Island

The start is inside Wyndham Ocean Ridge, the resort community on Sea Cloud Circle. If you’re staying there, you can walk to the line.
